Modern Family Home

Clean lines and areas abundant in light have come to life out of a refined graphic concept, for this home in Bankya. Its austerity has been softened through fluid shapes and layered nuances, derived from shades of black and white – grey, ecru, beige, as well as the light installation’s sheer opulence – a lavish composition of decorative crystal elements. That’s how Alex Kovatchev and Studio IDEA interpreted the client’s desire for “clean” modern interior design, through their trademark vision of elegance and timeless beauty.

The WOW Effect

The low seating area in the living room, with its sofas and armchairs by B&B Italia. In fact, it’s not one but two areas – one is in immediate contact with the fireplace, while the other is separated only by a console table. We were inspired to introduce rich layering to the experience and create an abundance of plots in several separate spaces, within the common living area.
The crystal installations above the living room and staircase. The Fabbian lamp is a delicate composition of 320 separate crystal pieces – simultaneously simple and luxurious. Its presence in the staircase area connects the environments within the home both vertically and horizontally, and takes the idea of contemporary brilliance as the interior’s focal point.
The alabaster lamps above the dining room table. They carry a spirit of clean modernity with a touch of opulence, by virtue of the glowing stone’s mystical depths and abundant nuances.
The headboard in the master bedroom. Its custom-designed upholstery is the bedroom’s haute couture element, and the Moooi chandelier enhances this sensual space with delicate romanticism.
The area with a custom-designed dressing table – it is a contemporary interpretation of the classic boudoir.
